The Process
Three simple steps
Step 1
Complete a quick form
A case is started when one party uploads their details, the details of the opposing party and a brief outline of the dispute onto the platform.
Step 2
Our team contacts you
We contact you and the other
party within 24 hours to explain the
process and the next steps.
Once both parties agree to use
Simply Resolved they are invited
onto the platform to set out their
version of the dispute and to
upload supporting documents.
Step 3
Meet Molly, our AI bot
Onto the first step towards resolution - a conversation with Molly, our chatbot, who will invite both sides to make a monetary offer to resolve their dispute. Molly will help the parties exchange offers and will let you know if you are close to resolution.

Molly helped resolve!
If you and the other party are successful in agreeing a sum to settle the matter the platform will then draw up a settlement agreement between you. This is a legally binding document and we advise that you seek legal advice on its terms. Once both parties have signed the settlement agreement the dispute is over and you can get on with your life!
What if a settlement isn’t reached with Molly?
Second stage mediation
Your case will be passed to an experienced mediator who will contact you, via the platform, within 48 hours.
14 days with a mediator
The mediator will use their skills to
help both parties try to resolve
their dispute within 14 days.
If you and the other party are
successful in agreeing a sum to
settle the matter the platform will
then draw up a settlement
agreement between you. This is a
legally binding document and we
advise that you seek legal advice
on its terms.
Still no resolution?
In the unlikely event that settlement
is not reached after mediation you
will be given guidance as to your
next steps.
Even if mediation has not fully
resolved the dispute, the issues
between the parties have been
articulated and, often, narrowed
allowing for the possibility of
settlement further down the line.
What does it cost?
Facilitated negotiation with Molly is as little as £25 per party. However, if mediation is needed, our fixed fee pricing is linked to the amount claimed ensuring fairness and simplicity.
Have questions?

Negotiation led by Molly will cost £25 per party. If that does not result in settlement, then expert mediation is the next step. The cost of this depends on the value of the claim but compares favourably with the costs of pursuing a claim at court.
See PricingNo you do not need a lawyer to use Simply Resolved. The platform is designed to be simple to use and you will be supported by a case manager where required. However, we cannot provide legal advice on your position so you may wish to seek advice from a qualified legal professional.
Pursuing or defending a claim through the court system can be complicated, time-consuming and unpredictable. Currently claims are taking, on average, 78 weeks to get to trial - that’s 18 months of wondering what the outcome might be.
In contrast, Simply Resolved aims to facilitate a conversation between the parties to allow them to find a resolution that they can both agree on. The process takes 21 days from start to finish and the parties retain control of the outcome.
Quicker, cheaper and more efficient are three of the reasons for using Simply Resolved as opposed to going to court.
Simply Resolved allows you to retain control of the process instead of leaving a decision on your case to be made by an unknown judge on an unknown day. 92% of mediated cases settle and so you could have a resolution of your dispute within 21 days rather than waiting 78 weeks.
In addition, there are inherent risks in taking a case to trial. You may not get the outcome you hoped for and may find yourself liable for paying the winning side’s costs in addition to your own expenses in bringing your claim. Simply Resolved offers a fixed cost solution with no hidden fees or liability for costs.
Mediation is where an independent third-party neutral assists parties in resolving a dispute. A Mediator works with, and between, the parties to help them articulate their concerns, needs and wants. The Mediator is impartial and non-judgemental and helps the parties to have a conversation and move away from adversarial confrontation towards a resolution.
It’s one of the fastest, most private and cost-effective ways of settling a dispute. A mediation is entirely confidential and “without prejudice”. That means that anything said in the mediation cannot later be referred to.
Negotiation on Simply Resolved is carried out by Molly, our AI bot. Molly will exchange offers between the parties and indicate if the parties are in a zone of possible settlement.
